Announcement - 57th Annual General Meeting

Dear Members of the Bosconian Family,

Greetings! The legacy of our Association is carried since more than five decades. By the passage of every year we learn and try strengthen and reach out to more and more people, society through our work and actions which was the aim we learnt from St. Don Bosco.

A Notice is hereby given to all the registered members of Don Bosco Alumni, Liluah that the 57nd Annual General Meeting of our alumni will be held on Sunday, 8th September, 2024 from 10.30 A.M. in the premises of Don Bosco School, Liluah, Howrah-711204. The registered members are requested to attend the AGM.

The agenda for the meeting is as follows:

~ 10.00 A.M. - Registration & Tea

~ 11.00 A.M. - Meeting to be called to order by the chair followed by the Alumni Prayer.

~ 11.35 A.M. -

a)President’s welcome speech.

b) Minutes of the last AGM to be read and adopted by the house.

c) Secretarial report 2024-25 by the Secretary.

d) Presentation of Accounts by the Treasurer.

e) Reports of the Adult Education Project & Free Medical Unit.

f) Fr Rector speaks

~ 12.40 A.M. - Open House discussion, followed with any other matter with the permission of the chair

~ 01.00 P.M. - Delegate’s speech

~01.15 P.M. - Vote of thanks

~ 01.30 P.M. - Group photo followed with Lunch.

Life's a Gift. Share More of It

DBL Alumni extends heartfelt gratitude to our blood donors at today's camp. "Dear donors, without your generosity in rolling up a sleeve, our life-saving work would not be possible." Thank you for your support and commitment to patients in need.

We recognize that every moment, someone requires a blood transfusion, whether it's an accident or burn victim, heart surgery, organ transplant, leukemia, cancer, or sickle cell disease patient. Your life-saving donation makes a significant difference.

We are immensely grateful for the efforts of our co-hosts, DBSERI Mirpara and Liluah Catholic Sabha (All units). The active and positive approach of Rev. Fr. Jaison, Fr. Alfred Paul, Fr. Banti Mondal, Fr. Roshan Kullu, Fr. Kodiyan Antony, Sister Theresa, and the dedicated work of members from Mirpara, Liluah Catholic Sabha, and DBL Technical students yielded spectacular results.

Thank you for making our task easier.

The belief, guidance, and support of our Delegate, Rev. Fr. Veliyan Davis, a man of vast experience, lead to practical approaches. We are blessed to have the support of Fr. Sanjay Manohar Kujur, Fr. Anand Raj, Fr. Charles Murmu, and all Salesians.

We are extremely grateful for the support received from the Howrah Police Commissionerate. We were honored by the presence of the Commissioner of Police Howrah Police Commissionerate, Respected Shri Praveen Kumar Tripathi IPS Sir, DCP North 2 Howrah, Bishop Sarkar IPS Sir, DCP HQ Shyamal Samanta Sir, ACP North 2 Sir, Amanjit Hora IPS Sir, Belur IC Shri Mani Shankar Sengupta Sir, Bally Traffic IC Subrata Chandra Sir, Naresh Lakhotia, President of Lions Club Of Howrah, Vijay Jain, Chairman of Lions Hospital Jaduberia, and other dignitaries.

Teachers and parents of DBL, past pupils, DBL Tech students, DB Seri Mirpara past pupils, and Liluah Catholic Sabha members led by Mr. Godfrey and his team participated as donors in the blood donation camp, uniting for a common mission.

We sincerely thank our Delegate, Rev. Veliyan Davis, for promoting the camp in the best possible way. 👏👏

We warmly appreciate the presence of Mr. Pramode Agarwal and Mr. Dilip Bhutoria, sponsors of the Free Medical camp.

No event can succeed without a dedicated team working hard over the last one and a half months. Mr. Kamal Prakash Agarwal spearheaded the effort with true Bosconian spirit, with Anil Agrawal expertly arranging donors, venues, snacks, and more. Mr. Yogesh "PROMT" Goel, a marvellous secretary and thorough gentleman, alongside the hardworking Rounak Ag, the professional perfectionist Saurabh Agarwal, and the dedicated Raunak Poddar, all contributed immensely. Binay Yadav, Rajesh Saraf, Bikash Saraf, Mahip Mittal, and Abhishek Agarwal also made significant contributions.

Thanks to all volunteers today: Sagar Saxena, Parag, Ritam, Bijay Singh, Honourable Binod Adukia, Anil Gupta, Kaifi Azmi, Ashish Debnath, Bijay Fatehpuria, Piyush Nagar, and others.

We are pleased to have the support of Mr. Sudhir Maheshwari from the batch of ISC '82. Welcome, sir; we look forward to working under your guidance. Thank you, Kamal Bhaiya, for this association.

My heartfelt thanks to the donors and everyone who turned up.

We had 200 registrations with 34 rejections, resulting in 166 actual donors.
